This fun ring seems to be a conversion piece. I say that because the shank of the ring is stamped 9K hallmarks for Birmingham 1979, while the shield/top is stamped 15K. It is likely that the top portion of this ring was originally a stick pin head from the mid victorian era based on the design and gold content.
